'Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka' Gets Fifth Season (1)The 10th year anniversary event for the Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) anime series announced a fifth season on Saturday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured) and an announcement video.

The anime series, abbreviated as DanMachi, adapts Fujino Omori's adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally submitted for the 4th GA Bunko Award in 2012 and received a publication offer. SB Creative began publishing the novel with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda in January 2013 and released the 19th volume on September 15. DanMachi has over 15 million cumulative copies of its volumes in circulation.

Young Gangan began serializing a manga adaptation by Kunieda in August 2013. Taisei Yagami began drawing a second manga adaptation in December 2019. Square Enix published the fourth volume on January 25, with the fifth volume to go on sale on November 25.

Yen Press licensed both the manga and light novel in English in October 2014 and December 2014, respectively. The 14th manga volume shipped on October 17 and the 18th novel volume is scheduled to go on sale on December 12.

J.C.Staff adapted the light novel into a 13-episode television anime in Spring 2015, followed by the second season and third season in Summer 2019 and Fall 2020. The fourth and latest season aired in Summer 2022 and Winter 2023.

Science Fell in Love already had a S2 so unless you're talking about a third season? I'd die for a S2 of More than a Married Couple and a S3 of Nagatoro.

Ah, whoops, I forgot they were separate seasons. I meant I was interested in Science Fell in Love S3.

And yeah, the other two you mentioned would be great!!

@iwubanime The only place with the English dub (best way to watch it) is on HiDive though.

@Zefyris No, this is what you yourself put into my comment. I never said that Titans is some kind of standard and compared it with them only because the final episode was released yesterday after 10 years of broadcasting.

@RobertBobert It's pretty much exactly what you implied though.

Nov 5, 2023 1:45 AM by Zefyris

@Nachtwandler_21 Hope so. Although I'm confused why people are asking about Mikasa's future when the implications in the manga were pretty strong.

Nov 5, 2023 1:39 AM by RobertBobert

@Zefyris I don't know why you made a conclusion that was never in my comment.

@RobertBobert I don't know why do you think that AoT's length is some kind of standard that any story in any media should be measured to, but OK. There are many manga out t here that are longer than AoT you know ?

@RobertBobert Haven't watched it either but according to comments they just addded a few new frames to the epilogue.

Cool! Last season the anime became Berserk, will it be the same in next? ╮(.❛ᴗ❛.)╭

@iwubanime Most of those shows will get a new season eventually. As for more than a married couple the anime sort of ended it with a original scene so prolly no new season but then again who knows. Also Grimgar I have no idea why it still doesn't get a new season as the LN is popular in Japan. Also as @RobertBobert mentioned Rezero already has an announcement and Mushoku s2 part is next spring.

Great news. One of my favs.

@iwubanime I don't have any insides or knowledge of the situation, but I think most of these shows will get a sequel anyway. ReZero has already received an announcement for the third season in the 2024, Mushoku Tensei is waiting for the second part of the current season and was confirmed as a full LN adaptation earlier this year. I also doubt that the Kaguya adaptation will be abandoned halfway through. Probably the other shows are also waiting to continue, they are just taking a break for some technical reasons.

@iwubanime MHA, Kimetsu will definitely get new season untill they wrap it up. Overlord should get more as well. As for Iruma kun not sure. Btw curious which romances and isekais are you talking about?

@MegamiRem - I hope your predictions are right!!

My most desired shows would be More than a Married Couple S2 and Ascendance of a Bookworm S4 because I really like the characters and/or world.

But from the romance side also would love to hear something more about Nagatoro S3, Kaguya-sama S4 (actually wasn't aware of the movie) and Stop the Sound S2. And would happily welcome Skip to Loafer S2, Yamada-kun S2, and Science Fell in Love S2!

Isekai wise, I'd say most of the big names are likely going to continue (Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei). I think others wrapped up well enough though there are many I'd happily see more of the world or characters (Grimgar, Spider, Parallel World Pharmacy, etc).

I love new shows but really wish more shows would finish out their source material. So many wonderful shows disappear into nothingness (ex: Yona). Glad to see Dungeon get a new season for this reason.

@MadanielFL - apologies, I looked at MAL for the streaming details. Good to know it can all be found in one place.

This show is such a mess from streaming ownership.

S1 - is on Hidive
S2 - is on Crunchyroll/Hidive
S3 - is on Crunchyroll
S4 p1 - is on Hidive
S4 p2 - is on Crunchyroll/Hidive

So will be curious on who picks this up.

Still, it is pretty amazing that this show got a new season. I used to think this was expected but I'm still waiting on the other big names (My Hero Academy, Welcome to the Demon School, Overlord, Demon Slayer, etc) and hopeful on some smaller names (mostly romances and some less popular Isekai) to get a new season. Nothing is guaranteed..

It's all on Hidive, from season 1 to all the OVAs and movies, to season 4.

This show has always been a Sentai license, every new season will be on Hidive most likely.
